Little jumps/stutters

For a few mth now everytime an npc comes on radar i get a little jump or stutter. I asked other players and they all get it aswell. Its really annoying in fights and especially if you use stitch fire like me as it keeps messing it up

Its not lag its something with the npcs or the server, and it doesnt happen on dfls or jolt, only on HHC. Hope you can fix it ?

I know what you mean and can tell you that it happens also on DFLS .
That´s the same thing as the : New Player message . Anytime something is generated in FL-Engine ( NPC´s & Players ) you will have this .

Maybe we need stronger Hardware for HC ? I don´t know .

Well i've played FL for 5 years and never noticed it before, except these last few mth, and i dont see the jumps on dfls ?

i know what you mean and i also know, that its on DFLS, too.

when you are in teamspeak with your friends and you noticed such a stutter you can ask them whether they had the same problem in this moment - i think they will answer with "yes".

Maybe the jumps are more noticeable on some servers than others ? as i still dont see any jumps on dfls. But on HHC its like every 10-15secs in gamma, less in alpha as theres less npcs.

The game has always ran really smooth for me, as i always buy the best pc equipment and if a game doesn't run smooth i dont play it. Maybe you guys should just do a test on a vanilla server to refresh your memories of how smooth freelancer runs with no mods

(providing you're not on a laptop or 1960's pc or 56k modem :p)

You ask my partner, i've done nothing but moan the last few mths about jerky gameplay and its getting really annoying, pretty much to the point that i might go play on another server.

BTW i have always used stitch fire (snake bite) on HHC (for those who know what that is) and i have played on this server for over 3 years. But now i cant do stitch because 1 stutter ruins it. Thats how i know for a fact it hasnt always been like this.

try defragment your disk it might be the problem. And try put graphic card perfomance on high performance not high quality.

Ya we spoke online

I have fresh install (Vista-Ultimate) and i format every 6 mth, plus i have uber pc Very Happy

every game i ever play is set to full gfx.

Also got another PC which is as fast as this one and that has xp installed, that also has the same jumps.

I dont have any chat programs or other stuff running in the background, just about everything that i can turn off is off, i optimise my pc for games.

I think the problem is just too much mods, theres only so much that you can do before it starts affecting gameplay.

Well after several months of lag/jumpy and jerky screens i've had enough. I've deleted all my chars and cant be bothered playing here anymore.

I play with such lags and jerky screens all my FL life, BB...
And - no other active FL server, that is the problem...

I dont think BB deleted his chars. He "left" many times already so....^^

Yes i have deleted my chars and i will be on jolt or dfls, or i might try some of these other servers. As for sucking, well the lag sucks and i cant play with it. Funny though i've played here for 4 years and all was fine until about 4mth ago when my ping increased by 15ms for no apparent reason, and theres no sign of it improving. If you dont read my forum, well you will see i've been moaning about this lags/jumps for ages lol.

I even posted here but no admins come out with any helpfull comments as to what might be causing it ? I even switched isp 4 weeks ago but it was exactly the same, ie jumpy and laggy. I also reinstalled game and mod several times and still the same -.-

Some ppl can play in lag, some cant!

Anyway thats thats lol.
