Hi sorry I dont speak German but great server, however I had a problem with 2 Players tonight from the *.*PR*.* Squad or Clan trying to tax me for flying through the California system. Now this would be fair enough if our ships were equal and I could either pay up or fight my way out of it but when you are a new player trying to start up and someone asks you for 100000 creds which I simply didnt have is a bit unfair. If this is allowed then what is the point of playing in the server? it`s basically bullying "our 2 ships are way more powerful than yours so pay up or we will kill you" it spoils the game for new people like myself. So are they allowed to do this or not? please let me know many thanks Corvus

There is a newbie protection for players below level 20 in the inner systems (ie. california).
However, you wont get banned for shooting newbies once. The newbie protection only goes as far as preventing "bashing" of newbies, meaning to kill low level chars over and over, preventing them from leveling up in the first place.
If you get killed by these guys over and over, you can report them here in the forum and they will likely get banned.

"Bullying" one or two times low level players is allowed , on the other side > lvl. 20 players are secure only in house systems .
If you feel unfair treated you can take Screenshots and report to an Admin .

Thats actually a good question. I would say, yes they are, as long as they are not bashing you if you cannot or do not want to pay the tax.

well sad to know you had this problem, as people that only like to mess with new people is bad, i my self always try to help new people so later on i can have a nice pvp. unfortunately there is people that dont respect other players in this case players under level 20, as i always say to people that want to tax me, i dont pay tax so dont bother i rather go on to another of my ships if im not on the move of pvp or just let them kill me and use all there money

. Hope to see you out there in space, and try to read for clans that will always be willing to help out. Example, DoS, HA, FoF, TCeagles, TD... ask them for help if they are near you and im sure they will help you.

Shame on you pilots that want to tax noobs.

You better get used to it early because you get taxed or shot at for no reason at all times and all places

Cheers everyone I know that I am going to get my backside kicked by other players its inevitable but to levy a tax on noobs trying to make enough money to buy a decent enough ship is a bit crap but never mind I`ll persevere hope to see you all in game and in time kick ur asses LOL as for squads/clans helping out noobs its the way it should be. i am sure, also well known pirates and another clans would help u if they would near to you and you get "newbiebashed"...
just open chat menu and look if som1 is near 2 u

There is only 1 protection rule that i am aware of

Players under lvl 20 cant be be engaged in the house systems

I dont see the point of trying to tax anybody under lvl 25, not many experienced players would do this or support it

Maybe Wodka could automatically fine a player if they kill someone under lvl 20, but it would have to be ship based as its possible to have a fully armed drake, valk or dagger under lvl20 and these can easily kill eagles

Killing starflyers of people setting up chars is another pointless exercise that I see happening too much, what does it prove? if people are setting up chars just let them

Maybe you can disable taxing and destroying of <lv20 ships, would make life easier, no idea if this is possible.

The problem is such a feature can be easily abused in different ways

Indeed many people will do that and its better to just ask for help or join other small groups of people that are also starting.
