Mining ship

Hello,

I know it's a bit late but it only hit me today while I was looking through the other threads here and I stumbled upon the ship on the OEG website.

With mining one can make a tidy profit but with the mining lasers it's just tedious to hit the little rocks. Maybe we could introduce the mining ship to make it easier?

I know nothing of modding so I don't know if it's possible. But it could revive the mining business ^^. Maybe instead of mining blasters all over the ship have them fire together on the front side to destroy an area of rocks.

good idea, mining is hard with the mining blasters or other guns. they would have to work like the flakturrets on clanbases and bs, but this would make them laggy

Well...there is already a really nice, if not the best, mining system in a specific freelancer mod: It is called Shattered Worlds: War-Torn. The mining system there is just epic.

It's kinda the same thing , only that you shoot a giant rock which acts like a npc ^^.

But yea the one in SW is more efficient and more suit for RP.

didn't even know you had mining blasters. tought mining wasn't profitable at all but it would be nice to make it a good career class
