Any SCI-FI movies you'd like to suggest? :D

The thing is, I love Sci-Fi, I also like fantasy films a lot, and who doesn't like comedies? But then again... FL is a sci-fi game, so let's see if anyone can recommend some nice sci-fi movies here. Very Happy

I for one would love a series of movies following the lines of Starcraft. But I guess hopes are all I can get from this.

I'd also like to see a few movies made after FL, or Starlancer, actually, a series of the two, since Starlancer I think covers the war between the Alliance and the Coalition.

But... to get back on the ground, what sci-fi movies would one recommend? And please skip aliens and predator movies, not because they're not good, but because almost everyone who's probably reading this board has heard about/seen them Very Happy

My personal recommendation would be Event Horizon, which, if I remember correctly, is supposed to be sci-fi horror.

Firefly, series and movie - very good. Battlestar Galactica? Bleh, Santa-Barbara in space. Can't remember anything else worthy in the last 7 years. Classic things.. well, everyone knows them.

a old one and VERY cool is WING COMMANDER i recommend it 2 the ones witch didn't saw it.And another 1 but it's not stargate type scifi is PITCH BLACK and CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK(part 2 of pitch black)

Blade Runner

I liked the stuff Mr. Herbig (creater of Traumschiff Surprise) did during his radio time a lot more.

Sci Fi movies I can recommend:
Dune (the David Lynch / Alan Smithee one)
Blade Runner
Alien (3, 2, 1, crap, 4)
Death Machine (trash movie)
Enemy Mine
Outer Limits

and the usual:
Babylon 5
Crusade
Andromeda (once one has gotten into the series)

But the best one is what keeps unfolding in my head. Think about technology so advanced there aren't even words to describe the things and princibles it is based on. Pretty cool stuff, gotta write it down sometime

Battlestar Galactica is the serie that you have to see, if you like SciFi.

And i think i didn't fount it in previous reply,
Serenity, is a realy good movie with pace ship and nice building ^^ Even if children look like Jedi at start !
