Hello,

I am the admin of 24/7 Lansdale Galatica USA. I currently run one of the biggest servers on the East Coast of USA. I am interested in the server status page you have and wish to know what programs you used to show players online, etc. I would like to know how you have tag base and what modification this is. With your permission and maybe a small donation, I would like to run this on our server.

i do it too.

So i try to answer all the Questions.

The Onlineplayerlist gets the Webserver per skripted telnet session from the Server. Serversoftware for that is called FLAdmin (can be downloaded from www.lancersreator.com)

Tag base ? Do you mean the Servermap ? This is based on an Software i called it "flcharadmin". This peace of Software is simlular to FLAdmin, but it isn't for the Server (start/stop/message, thnigs like this) it is for the Chars. This thing can't be downloaded but for a small donation

i think i will send it out. you must know we pay rent for that server to k-play.de so every donation is welcome

with this peace of software i can remotly (per php) look where a player is.

the rest is normal mysql and php.

on the same system i have build an forum account/flchar linking, we called it charmanager. if you login in by flying a special mission you have access to "Hold the Base" and "Spezial Webbases Missions"

this was one thing "flcharadmin"

on the other side is FLCD Server, this is the Server for the FLCD (Freelancer Cheat Detect System) this Server sniffs the network. when a player logs in it checks the status from flcd client (you have to install that client software to play here) and reads out the chardata and insert it in the mysql database on the webserver. So i have nearly realtime stats, the data were updated everytime a player login or respawn!

The Responsetime/player death/... on the Serverstatuspage is deliverd by the FLCD Server too.

For an other Project (FLAntiCheat) i have build an Spezial testversion of the responsetime getter, it is limited for 90 days and is only for demo, because i will build an tool that can be ping from outside like the flserver itselfs

you can give it a try, but i heared about problems, but i don't know with operating system was used, here on WinXP it works fine.

the next thing for me is to add an ping checking routine to flcd

can you give me ip and port from you server ? i have a little stat skript (only for me) and i want to add you server. How many Slots do you have ? Wich Hardware ?

btw we have 50 slots on a Xeon 2.6 Ghz Maschine with GBit Internet (thx to k-play.de) we only need 2 MBit's (only peeks)

we have 25 slots. We want more slots, like 50, but we have too much cpu usage by freelancer server.

there are parts in this software which i can use but can't give a copy to you. i'll need something simular called "inetd" on linux bases systems for win32.

i think there are serveral software out there but i don't know them because i never need them ;-)
