Hey, Dont know if anything like this has been suggested before.

But on starcraft websites like gosugamers and teamliquid, they have a system where regular forum users can bet on the individual games.

For example Yin vs Powerball

Then people can start with "50 credits" each, and then they can bet like a certain amount of that credit on either Yin or Powerball.

If an equal amount of bets had been made on both players so it would be 50% vs 50% then people would double up their money.

Better goes all-in with 50 credits, and wins then he is up to 100 credits.

The odds then are supose to change by how much is bet on one person. Lets say that 70% of the credits are bet on yin, then there is 30% on powerball. So the odds are in favor of Yin, and therefor you don't get as much back should Yin win. But the risk takers who chose to bet on powerball, will win more should he, despite the odds, win.

It doesnt mattter what the math is, but point is, i think a betting system would add alot of fun, and would indirectly involve alot more players in HCL.

Of course it requires that someone is willing to do the work, i know that there is "money systems" for php and stuff, but its all gotta be modified. Dont know if admins at http://www.gosugamers.net might give out code.

Anyways, I know its probably impossible to get anyone to make this, but thought Id bring up the idea anyway, Think it might really spiece up the server and HCL.

Just adding: Of course it would also require a high score system where maybe the guy winning gets a in-game cash prize or something.

Everyone starts with 50 credits for example, and then they keep on betting on matches in HCL they can bet as much as they want, (first everyone will go all-in with their 50, and then they can reset it incase they lose them)

but later it will be more risky to go all-in because you would lose all your credits and the lead.

And then at the end of the HCL guns0 season, the guy with the highest amounts of credits would win a ingame cash prize for example.

its starts from the button and up.

First he bets 50 and loses, so he resets. The amount he is winning depends on the odds which you cant see here. But you get an image of the "credits" system, its just fake forum "money" "points" "score" "credits" doesnt matter what you call it.

Here is a screenshot of me betting on a clan in this case. You might get an idea of how it works. Look for "my bet"

I think its an awesome way to get reguler none HCL participates to actually start getting invovled in HCL and care about it and have some fun. [/img]

Hmm.

I realize now that because the time that people fight is so unstructured it would be impossible to bet with the winnings of another bet.

Because then the real betting would be about who to bet that would fight the soonest after u place ur credits, so once the fight was over you could use the winnings credits (or reset to 50 credits) again for another bet.

So I guess i have to rethink the star craft system, maybe it should be like in football where you bet on all matches at the same time.

This would be a radical different system, not as fun, but easier to implement and still involve the players in the fighting.

So basically you'd just make a big list of all fights. And people would have to put a dot at the outcome.

so I picked draw, and then i keep picking the outcome i believe will happen for all fights. Then you could do the same at the start of the 2. round, this time having alot more information at how the players did at 1. round.
