I would like to suggest to disable this red marked Stats:

If they are gone, ALL of us can again concentrate on the GAME Freelancer!
Most guys here play for stats and forgot what this game was for.

Clanbase deaths don't show any victory or defeat because they are all faked (no defenders / 3am and so on)
We don't need them it only gives us a lot of trouble and flame!

Nobody of those statslamers would need to switch their "high ranked stats chars"
if they are loosing and risk to fall some places in the top 100 pvp stats list Rolling Eyes
Even they wouldn't need to bash some noobs anymore to get higher in ranking as usual on hc.

you have to know that here are some "statshunters" who want get a good stat and show all what they are able to do!
So it doesnt make sence to delete it because then HHC will loose some players.. u want that really?

i dont want my money, npc etc stats removed... its not for my e-dick.. its just nice to know.. nice to have..

let those who want to watch their pvp-stats watch them.. ignore them.. and feel sry for those who are doing it because they wanne be good at anything once in their livetime Feel good that you don't have to be like that..

Kill/death rating, indeed, is leaving space for people who gank newbs for better stats. I can tell for sure that 3 from top ten there is a chars used only with this purpose. But their owners is still from " very good" to "elite" on skill meter.
Removing these stats just to punish a small party on gankers is not a good thing to do, imo. Community knows their names anyway and its not like they will have any respect for high stats.

Oh and to those who may start to complain about "flexi protecting his stats"... Don't bother. I never intended to get on top of this and my top char is only char @Crete I have, used in any fight against any odds.

Less flame, less baselaming attacks.

Well, the stats are not to blame for this behaviour, it's the people who can't use it properly.

There are people who don't care about stats, although these are logged.
There were also people who tried everything to get most kills with less deaths by every mean possible in the past, without the stats.

So don't blame the system, blame the people

Also we should keep the top kill stats , I'd like to know how many kills I have comparing to others , and showing how many kills a person has won't harm anyone ( Freelancer has the ingame option for showing the numbers of npcs killed - why not showing the number of people killed too )

Also , from what I read w0dk4 is working on a new dynamic clan bases systems so until it's ready I think we can accept the base kill stats , although they are irelevant.

And about the kill / death .. I think that only the ranking system should be disabled ( it's easy to manipulate ; e.g. tell your buddy to make a level 1 character , make him dock on a base and kill him 200 times .. Do that again in a few days and in 1 week you should be in top 100 ).
But the function should be kept ingame , but when a player types /hc statsme , it won't show the rank but just the kills and deaths.

Concerning the pvp stats I don't really care.. Those stats are pretty inaccurate, there is bunch of ppl who use several chars, so stats don't really show the truth of all pvp kills/deaths, these who use 1 char most of the time are listed above.

The messages, as well as the killmsg in general have been all added by FLHook. On a Vanilla-Server, you will only see the New Player/Leaving Player messages.
