Since the whole article is in english, I feel it's right to post my 2 cents using english as well. My problems with the majority of modern games are gameplay issues and the general quality of games. Lack of quality, to be more precise. In the game industry, I can see a certain amount of "Hollywoodism", which is special FX from the A to the Z, but when it actually comes to how to play the game, not to mention storytelling, well, there mostly isn't any.

Demos fail to communicate to the potential gamer what the actual gaming experience is going to be like. They do this by raising the expectation to levels the retail product can't compete with. So if I don't want to spend the hard earned cash on stuff that turns out to be crap, I have to rent games from a video store, which is legal in Germany, prior to buying them. That is, if they turn out to be worth my time.

The last game that kept me up until the early hours of the next morning was... Homeworld. The final battle, accompanied by Samuel Barbers "Agnus Dei", sung by the Cambridge Trinity College Choir, was an absolutely brilliant experience.

i agree with the lack of storylines and length, unfortunately i also need to mention that some games (like freelancer) make me wonder if they are really 1.0 or just made the step from alpha to beta stage.

games that were really interesting i finally bought and got them somewhere, some still in original packaging Very Happy

The language is the source of all misapprehensions.
As a pessimist it is really hard to be not pleasantly surprised.

I would be really happy to own coloured pencils in truecolor.
