Questions about Differences Between Jolt and Hamburg.

Hello.

I am new to the Hamburg mod experience and only played on Jolt before so if these questions have already been asked, i couldnt find them.

Do nomads only drop weapons in the unknown system with planet Gammu?

Is it possible to get out of the unknown without having to spend 4 hours in there fighting your way out? (past experience!

)

Is there anywhere in the universe that drops wildfire, cerberus, diamondbacks etc from missions?

If not where do players get them?

Are there any other places except alpha and gamma that have large enough missions for players like me who prefer missions to trading?

Nomads drop in both, Unknown Gamma and Unknown Alpha...
Well, you can get out of Unknown very fast, if you know how

The NPCs won't spawn if the server-load goes over 45 ms.
No, there won't be artifactweapons by NPCs...you can only loot them from wrecks.
The server restarts always at 6 o clock in the morning (GMT+1!).
For missions, I prefer Beta...of course, it is a bit laggy but hey ya get the money fast anyway.

Ah, I nearly forgot: The enginekill won't be disturbed by wasp/hornet. So don't wonder if people slide around you

Nomads also drop their weapons in Omicron Alpha and Omicron Gamma.

You'll find lucrative missions in
- Omicron Beta (Outcats, vs GMG)
- Tau-23 (IMG, vs Outcasts)
- Omicron Theta (Bountyhunters, vs Outcasts/Corsairs)
- Omega-41 (Corsairs, vs Red Hessians)
- Gamma Unknown (Order, vs Nomads)
- Omicron Minor, Planet Toledo (Order, vs Nomads)

Their are Nomads in Dublin too but honestly i never checked if they drop guns.

For some of this missions you can get a bonus if you use the Charmanager

I've succesfully linked a char to the Forum with char manager, but I have not worked out what to do next...

I gather you can pick up special missions and trades, but regrettably I do not know how to do that yet.

I've already got that part sorted, thanks.

What I am unsure of is how I then access the webmissions etc... i.e. where are those buttons?

Another thing I am unsure of, is whether I can link more than 1 char to this Forum account or not?... i.e. if I have a Trader Char and a PvP char, am I able to link them both to my current account?

Buttons for missions are on the right side of your I.E. window.
To start a mission,you have to press the "Mission fliegen" button and follow the instructions.

Yes you may link your chars to the same account

Er... nope. :S

I wasn't using IE before, I was using a Yahoo browser supplied by my ISP. I have since tried using IE, and definitely no sign of any buttons on the right hand side... I also checked the left hand side jic I am dyslexic. Very Happy

I'm obviously missing something very simple/basic here, but I have no idea what.

You have to click on the name of your connected character(s).
They are linked to the charmanager main page, where you can select the different modules.

Actually, it's not my thread, was started by doc_brown, but it seemed a useful one to ask some newbie questions.

I had already set the board to English, and am managing reasonably well now, but still find the odd bit hard to follow. I'll slowly get the hang of it all though.

if u want fly to omircon minor take this way:
1. jump to omicron alpha unknown
2. look to the right side, there u see a white whirl

4. look at your NavMap and you should see the jumphole
5. jump in this hole

u will get in the omicron major system with the dyson sphere
take the jumphole from where u got in this system and jump in; u will get in the inner of the dyson sphere
take the same jumphole to get to the order system omicron minor with the planet toledo. there u can buy the anubis and u can take a job as a nomad hunter für the order
(only this system has a NavMap, be careful in the other systems or u will get lost Very Happy

)
take the same jumphole again to get to the omicron beta* system. there is the nomad base.
al least take the same jumphole again, to get back to omicron alpha unknown.
